Pearl Louise Gardner, 81, of Medford, Oregon passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at home. Pearl was born December 26, 1931 to Kenneth and Virginia Auten in Curren, Illinois. She graduated high school in Decatur, Illinois. She married Jerry L. Gardner on November 22, 1950. They lived in Illinois and California before moving to Medford.
Pearl was a member and Past State Madam President of the Ladies Auxillary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Crater Lake Aerie #2093. While she was State President, one of her major goals and accomplishments included raising funds donated to Dogs For the Deaf, a cause she held close to her heart.
Pearl is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Gardner; her son Kenneth L. Gardner and his wife, Susan of Phoenix, Arizona; and her daughter Virginia L. Jepsen and her husband Kirk of Salem, Oregon. She has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as many more in her extended family of relatives. She also has many friends she lovingly considered as dear as family.
Pearl was predeceased by her son, Aaron Gardner, her brother Aaron Auten, and her sister Louella Miller.
A small graveside service for Pearl will take place Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park located at 1395 Arnold Lane Medford, OR at 2:00pm. This will be followed by a Celebration of her Life at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Crater Lake Aerie 2093 located at 2000 Table Rock Rd. in Medford, Oregon at 3:00pm.
