Phillip G. Clark passed away November 12, 2013. He was born February 23, 1939 in Emporia, Kans.
Phil was an Eagle Scout, participated in Washington Boys State, and lettered in football and basketball in high school. He graduated from Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Wash. in 1956 and earned twin degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington (Seattle) in 1961. Phil married Patricia Anderson November 4, 1962. He worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation (LMSC) in Sunnyvale, Calif. from 1961 to 1997, serving in defense of our nation through weapons development before retirement.
Phillip was a sportsman and an outdoorsman; he became a gentleman rancher in retirement, breeding llamas on Applehill Ranch in Oregon's Applegate Valley. He served as a deacon at Applegate Community Church for a number of years. He was recently attending Applegate Christian Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Anderson Clark; son, Scott Clark; brother, David Clark; four grandchildren; and seven great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his sons, Vincent and Craig Clark; and his parents, Earl and Blanche Clark.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Applegate Christian Fellowship, 7590 Highway 238, Ruch, OR.
