Randolph Bemis, age 63 years, passed Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Medford, OR from complications of surgery. He was born Nov. 22, 1955 in DesMoines, IA. Randolph grew up in the gold country of CA. He worked as a chef at the Manzanita Grill Sheraton in Sacramento and Stanford Sierra Camp on Falling Leaf Lake in south Lake Tahoe. He loved music and became a sound engineer working with the band Blizzard in Tahoe(breaking more than a few noise level barriers). He had lived in Lake county, Oregon for 24 years working as a handyman and painter.
Randolph loved life, rock & roll and a close circle of friends. He had a great laugh and was quick to tease. He had a real soft heart for animals - birds, cats, dogs - they all had a place in his life.
If you were around Randolph you were guaranteed a good time. He loved the outdoors, high desert golf in Plush, the San Francisco Giants and a good cold beer. Randolph spent the last three years on the Oregon Coast in Port Orford. Hunting agates on the beach and listening to the ocean were his favorite pastimes.
We will miss him tremendously. His free spirit, long ponytail, beautiful blue eyes and deep voice....oh, and those goofy hats.
He leaves behind his brother Ross and wife Crystal and family in CA., friends in Oregon and California and partner in crime Toni Prada. I love you Baby.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Port Orford Cemetery, Port Orford, OR.
