On Saturday, July 10, 2010, Reneta Kowalla, 91, went home to be with her Lord. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Reneta was born in Nicholson, Penn. She married John Kowalla in 1943. Her family and home were her priorities as she raised her three children. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Outside the home she loved to bowl and served as a hospital volunteer for many years.
Reneta is survived by a sister, Dorothy; her three children, Janet, Jackie, and John; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; and her husband of 54 years, John.
There will be a viewing Sunday, July 18,2010, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gold Hill Methodist Church, 416 Dardanelles Street, Gold Hill, Ore. A brief graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford, Ore.Those wishing to honor Reneta's memory may contribute to Gold Hill United Methodist Church.
