Ruth Snyder, age 95, passed Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. Born in LaJolla, California to immigrant parents from Switzerland and Sweden, she was a twin and one of 5 children. Her only brother was killed on the USS Oklahoma in Pearl Harbor. Her father Albert was a renown Horticulturist who worked for Mr. Scripps in LaJolla, California for years then was hired away to run the exotic plant operation for railroad magnate Henry Huntington in San Marino, California. The family lived on the Huntington Estate for years and the children attended San Marino schools. She retired to Talent, Oregon with her Husband Cecil in 1990. She is survived by her son David and his wife Jo of Fair Oaks, CA., 2 grand children, 4 great grandchildren and sister Alberta. She will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, Oregon
