Sidney "Lynn" Williamson lost his battle with cancer, passing away at home on October 20,2013. He was born April 2nd, 1953 in Chehalis, WA to Sidney "Doc" and Dorothy Williamson. He loved to share stories of growing up, his family life and his childhood shenanigans! His love of sunshine moved him to southern Oregon in 1984, where he was employed with Jackson County Roads for 25 years before retiring this summer. He had a zest for life, and loved to "visit" with people. He loved to be outdoors on sunny days, but indoors with his wood stove on rainy days. He planted a huge garden every year, giving most of the harvest away to neighbors. For 20 years, he organized and ran a Neighborhood Watch program. As the Block Captain, he planned and executed an annual potluck for the neighborhood. He was a member of R-Ranch for 7 years, camping, fishing and socializing, and not surprisingly, was elected R-Ranch President for 1 term. As a Christian, he enjoyed church services and studying his beloved bible. He is survived by his wife Susan, son Stephen, stepchildren Chad, Todd, Zachary and Emily, sisters Pearl and Margaret, and many cousins who loved him. He is preceded in death by his brother Harvey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013 3:00pm at The Medford Neighborhood Church, 1819 W Stewart Ave. Officiated by Rev. V Lee Gregory
