Steve was born to Bob & Joan Corliss in Medford, OR. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of two, but was mainstreamed at St. Mary's school. After graduating from St. Mary's High, he spent time as a Brother at Mt. Angel Seminary. Increasing seizures precipitated his return home. He was a talented artist, and when offered a job as a Disney cartoonist, he had to decline because of his continuing seizures. At 40, Steve met & married his first wife, Pat. They foster-cared several young children who benefited from his patient attention.
In 1993, Steve married Lois Rusho, the love of his life. They celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2018. After a long battle with cancer, Steve passed away at home. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Willison-Matchett. He leaves behind his wife, Lois; his daughter Stacy Jackson; grandson Robert Jackson; step-children Mark & Lisa Weishaupl; brothers Chris (Pam) Corliss, John Corliss; sisters Sarah
(Stephen) Edmondson, Azelie (Dave) Reitz and many nieces & nephews.
