Steven M. Katz, 67, of Talent, Ore., passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010, in Medford, Ore. Steven was born August 27, 1943, in Jersey City, N.J., to Al and Evelyn Katz.
He attended Penn State for two years, and became an entrepeneur. He enjoyed gardening, tennis and telling jokes.
Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Lee Katz. He is survived by his partner of 12 years, Karen Bessette; son, Jared Katz; daughter, Sara Katz; and grandchildren, Megan and Joshua Katz.
A remembrance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Pioneer Hall, 73 Windburn Way, across from Lithia Park in Ashland.
