Suzi Collins

Suzi Bensen Collins passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Providence Hospital in Medford, Oregon. She was 75 years old. Suzi is survived by her daughter, Stacy Collins of Chicago, IL, her brother Dale Bensen of Roseburg, OR (wife Vicki Bensen, son Paul Bensen, daughter Denise Bensen Cox), her sister Esther Treadwell of Roseburg, OR (daughter Marie Cowie) and her brother-in-law Dwight Kauk of California (stepsons Bryon Malizia and Michael Malizia). Suzi was preceded in death by her father Robert Bensen, her mother Phyllis Ripley Bensen and her sister Kathleen Kauk.

Suzi was born in Minnesota and graduated from Corona Senior High School in Corona, California. Through the years she lived in Minnesota, Michigan and California, where she enjoyed a successful career as a real estate agent, before settling into retirement in Eagle Point, Oregon. For more than 15 years, Suzi was very involved in the Eagle Point community, dedicating countless volunteer hours at the Eagle Point Senior Community Center. She was recently recognized by the Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce for her tireless dedication and support. She also took great pride in organizing the Eagle Point Independence Day Parade.

Suzi’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes buried with her family in Minnesota. Plans for a celebration of life will be held in the new year in Eagle Point, OR.
