Teresa (Terrie) Jodelle Grant, 64 of Medford, Oregon passed away at he home, May 15, 2013 after an extended illness.
Visitation in on May 22nd at 4:00pm-7:00pm at Memory Gardens, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford. Funeral service will be held May 23rd at 1pm.
Terrie was born to Joseph and Doris Staedler on December 11, 1948 and raised in Baker, Oregon. She was with the graduating class of 1967 from Baker High School and went on to become a hairdresser after receiving her certification from Pendleton College of Beauty in 1968.
She married Michael Maxwell from Baker and they had two children, Michael 'Eric' born 1970 and Tammie born 1972. They later divorced.
Terrie was the oldest of her two siblings, a sister, Vicki and a brother, Skip. Always throughout her life being a very protective, loving and giving big sister.
She moved to Medford, Oregon in 1986 to help her father who was ill at the time. She married Charles (Chuck) Grants Jr. from Medford on February 20, 1991.
Working from the time she was a teenager, until her physical health began to deteriorating and limiting her, she was a hairdresser fro 25 years and later worked as a market manager fro Minute Market in Medford for many years.
Her interest included cooking, gardening, camping, having her pets with her and spending time with her family and friends. She especially was in love with her granddaughters, Skylar and Jamie. They brought great joy to her heart, as did her sister's grandchildren, Hunter, Kyley, Alex and Kyana Chaves; and great niece and nephew, Trinity and Christian Staedler. She was a wonderful and loving grandmother to them all. Although she was actually their great-aunt, they all called her "Grandma Terrie".
Terrie was a truly special soul with a strong faith in the Lord which she would share openly. She was blessed with an exceptionally giving and compassionate heart, opening her heart to help anyone she came in contact with. She was 'always there' for her family and friends. Her home was a perpetual revolving door for those she cared about and wanted to help. When you were in Terrie's home you knew you could be yourself and feel at home. She will be so very missed and lovingly remembered.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Grant; son, Eric Maxwell of Shasta, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jeff Andrews of Rogue River, OR; step-daughter, Mystie Haley of Pocatello, ID; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Steve Scrivner of Grants Pass, OR; brother, Skip Straedler of Buffalo, MO; granddaughters, Skylar and Jamie Andrews, ages 11 and 10; nephews, Ryan Chaves of Baker City, OR and Michael Staedler of Medford, OR; nieces, Jolene and Jodi Staedler of Buffalo, MO; and many close cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Doris Staedler and nephews, Benjamin and Todd Chaves.
