Verva Lavate Coffman

Funeral Services for Verva will be held Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford. Verva was born June 30, 1920 about 5 miles outside of Joseph, Oregon. She moved to Medford with her parents, Brian and Maryann Gossett when she was 8 years old. Verva graduated from Medford High School in 1936 and met her husband, John Travis Coffman, whom she married June 1, 1940. He passed in 1991. She worked for many years at Harry and David's while raising 3 children. She volunteered for many years at Providence Medford Medical Center until June of 2008. At that time, she moved to Wenatchee, Washington to be around her great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her loving husband and 1 grandson. She leaves her 2 daughters, Susan Severson (Gene), Bette Gay Damourakis, 1 son, Charles Coffman (Carla), 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
