Virgil W. Lacy, 93, of Medford, Oregon passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Butterfly Adult Foster Care. Virgil was born September 9, 1917 in Talent, Oregon to Lester Glen and Eva Ellen (Shideler) Lacy.
Virgil graduated from Ashland High School and joined the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He married Ruby Gertrude Sullivan in Reno, Nevada on February 25, 1946. Virgil worked for the railroad for a while and then joined Lithia Park as a gardener, where he retired after 29 years of wonderful service.
Virgil was preceded in death by his wife Ruby, five sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his son Alex (Elda) Lacy of Medford, OR; sister, Lorraine Ball of Medford, OR; 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 17 at Memory Gardens Mortuary, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, OR . Graveside services were held on Wednesday, May 18 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
