Virginia "Ginnie" Browns, age 84, of Medford, Oregon passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. She was born to Fred & Mary Dame on December 28, 1927 in Oakland, California.
Ginnie and her parents moved to the Grants Pass area in 1941. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1947. In 1952 she and her husband R.B. moved to the Medford area.
She loved taking care of her family, cooking, golf, traveling and spending the winters in Palm Desert, CA. Ginnie belonged to RVCC Lady Golfers and Quail Point Lady Golfers.
Ginnie is survived by her husband, R.B. Browns of Medford, Oregon; children, Jeff (Cyndi) Browns of Central Point, Oregon, Bruce (Valerie) Browns of Medford, Oregon; Vicki (Gary) Brookins of Eagle Point, Oregon; & Kathie (Harvey) Woods of Medford, Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in Ginnie's name would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association 1650 NW Naito Parkway, Suite 190, Portland, OR 97209. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm Noon on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 5758 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford, Ore.
