William K. "Modoc" Jackson, age 58, passed away November 27, 2011, at his home. He was born December 25, 1952, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Virgil (Willie) and Jessie (Shadley) Jackson.
The family moved to Medford, Oregon where Modoc resided until his death. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Oregon Ducks and Black Tornado football. He graduated from Medford High School in 1971 and attended Southwest Community College, where he played some intramural sports.
Modoc learned to pilot a plane. He also enjoyed traveling, old muscle cars and guns. Modoc was a great artist with his beadwork and drawings.
Modoc is survived by sons, William Jackson, Modoc Jackson; daughter, Shannon Jackson; five grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Jackson, Ivan Jackson, Joe Hobbs, and Holly Jackson; sister, Babe DeBartolo. He was preceded in death by father, Willie; mother, Jessie; sister, Ava June; and brother, Ralph.
A memorial service was held December 10, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Heritage Christian, 1870 Stewart Ave, Medford. A potluck reception to follow
