Willie Author Edwards

March 20, 1935 — October 6, 2014

Willie "Bill" Author Edwards, 79 of Central Point, Oregon went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, October 6, 2014. He was surrounded by his beloved family and friends. Bill was born March 20, 1935 in Dover, Oklahoma to Hester and George Edwards. Bill was raised in Seagraves, Texas, where he met the love of his life, childhood bully, Quandra Rutherford, whom he is survived by. They were married December 18, 1954. Together they had two daughters, Toni Young, of Medford and Sylvia (Paul) Blenkush of Medford.

Bill served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne as a Paratrooper. After the Army, he moved his family out west, where he worked for 34 years at White City Plywood. Bill's best accomplishment in life was his family, which he loved without a doubt, more than anything. One of his favorite things to do was spoil his four granddaughters, Casey Kelly of Central Point; Erika Young of Medford; Catrinia (James) Quintana of Medford and Amanda (Kevin) Coelho of Medford.

Bill left this world surrounded by all his "sweeties". He will be missed forever.

Bill is survived by his wife; daughters; brother, Robert; sister, Geneva; granddaughters and his six great-grandchildren; Aadyn, Andrew, Asher, Autumn, Grady and Dylan, also by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Paul and sister, Juanita.

Pappy, we don't know how we are going to go on without you, but you raised us to be tough girls. We love you so very much.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Butte Creek Baptist Church , 429 N. Royal Avenue, Eagle Point, Oregon. Pastor Steve Hamilton will be officiating.
